I will be going on a seven day vacation. I cannot take my chihuahua along. Others times she has stayed with an in-home petsitter, but she no longer does petsitting. I tried others and they were supposed to stay in my home but I found out they only came to let her out. I am thinking of putting her in a kennel for 7 days, she has never been at one, but I have no other choice. What do you think about this?

Hi my dog almost 2 months old. I know she is just a puppy but the biting us is killing me. We replace our hands or feet with a toy and tell her no but she goes right back to biting. Not only does it hurt but im afraid she is going to be aggressive to us and others and I want to avoid that. I would appreciate your advice.

I’ve always thought chihuahuas would make great therapy dogs because they are portable, natural lap dogs and have entertaining personalities. They could easily share a patient’s bed and sit on the laps of children or very weak patients. Last week there were several news stories that featured chihuahuas as therapy dogs.

Small and toy breed dogs take longer for their soft spots to close?
My breeder says because the puppy’s soft spot hasn’t closed that there is a chance for seizures, temporary blindness, etc for the first year. Is this just typical for small breeds, or is something really wrong with this puppy?
